Happy New Year!
We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that you start 2026 with a real sense of God’s presence with you and His heart for you.
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.(Psalm 41:10)

As a family, we’re thankful for what has been, at so many levels, a brilliant year.
Daniel and Avery are putting down roots in Los Angeles, the city where Avery grew up, after their plans to start married life in London were knocked-off by Avery’s new employer being unable to complete her visa application for her UK in time. They’re both doing really well. Daniel is thoroughly enjoying working with MightyServ, a good-sized Heating and Air Conditioning business owned by Avery’s family. Likewise, Avery is flourishing as a Montessori teacher in a great school not far from home.

Jemimah is now in the second year of a Speech Pathology & Audiology degree at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She’s doing superbly and is taking full advantage of the rich variety of opportunities for learning and growth that are on offer. Indeed, tomorrow she heads off on a civil rights pilgrimage through the southern states, during which she’ll visit locations such as Selma and the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, where Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated.
Phoebe is very excited to be turning eighteen on Sunday! We can’t quite believe we now have three adult children. She loves listening to music, singing, and all things social, including the community at Nicaragua Christian Academy, where she is in her penultimate year. We are so thankful for God’s incredible provision for her in this season through the school and church here.

We’re really happy that during the Thanksgiving break in November, JJ was able to join Andy on a trip to Bolivia (thanks, air miles!) It was so special time for him and Andy to travel together and reconnect with wonderful friends that he has really missed. Back in Nicaragua, he’s a bit sad that the school football season is over but is looking forward to getting back into basketball.
Miah has just turned eight! She continues to bring us all so much joy and delight. She’s full time at school now and, for the most part, enjoys it. At home, she spends hours snipping and gluing and making all sorts of wonderful creations. If only she were as enthusiastic about tidying it all up afterwards!

As ever, Mickey is the heart of our family and plays a significant role within Novō, as, day by day, we talk and pray through all that’s happening. This summer, she really enjoyed the Introduction to Christian Counselling course at Waverley Abbey College. Closer to home, she goes into school a couple of afternoons a week to read with 1st graders, makes weekly visits to a local nursing home with her friend, Katie, and heads up the coffee team at church. To relax, she’s now making candles as well as soaps!
For Andy, 2025 was another busy year of travel with trips to South Sudan, Nigeria, the UK and USA, and two visits to Bolivia. He also continues to preach regularly and serve as an Elder at our church, International Christian Fellowship here in Managua.

As we look back on a full year, and anticipate what lays ahead in 2026, we’re so thankful to you, our supporters, for your prayers, gifts, and friendship. Thank you for standing with us.
Blessings!
Andy & Mickey
